A VA Blue Button PDF is read in your browser, on your computer. 369scan does not upload veteran documents to a server. 369scan does not sell them. 369scan does not use them for advertising. 369scan does not send them to a public AI model.
The breakdown stays in this browser. You can download it from this browser, and you can delete that scan from this browser. Deleting it here removes it from this browser.
Blue Button is your VA medical record download. 369scan is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The live site does not take other files. If a file is not one VA Blue Button PDF, the scanner stops. It does not send that file anywhere.
What we collect
- Your email, only if you choose to give one, for example to sign in. A scan never needs it. That is an email address, not a copy of your document.
- Scan counts when a Blue Button read finishes: pages, visits, conditions, and the date range. Not the document and not the record text.
- Anything you choose to save in an account, such as a reminder label or a draft. We do not ask you for a profile, a Social Security number, a VA file number, or a date of birth.
- Usage and security logs we need to run the site: which pages load, whether a scan finishes, and short-lived host logs such as IP address, browser, and time. We use one analytics tool, PostHog, set to run without cookies. It does not receive your medical-record text or your scan results.
Why
To open the scan, keep an account sign-in working if you use one, troubleshoot, and run the site.
What we don't do
- We don't upload your veteran documents to a server.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't sell your documents.
- We don't use your documents for advertising.
- We don't send your documents to a public AI model.
- We don't hand your file to lawyers or claim companies.
- We never ask for your VA.gov password.
Who can see a document
You can, on the computer where you opened it. Other users don't get your file. There is no server copy of the document.

If something goes wrong
If your information is involved in a security breach we are required to disclose, we will tell the people affected. If no specific deadline applies, we will still tell them as soon as we reasonably can.
Not the VA
369scan is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
